Annually, Iran experiences numerous fatal and financial accidents due to traffic collisions, emphasizing the need for effective strategic plans and prevention measures.This article examines the indicators of suburban traffic safety in Iran and compares them with Asian countries. In this article, key concepts of suburban traffic safety, including speed, seat belt usage, braking systems, etc., are investigated. Then, the indicators of suburban traffic safety in Iran and Asian countries are examined. Finally, based on data and statistics, the differences in traffic safety between Iran and Asian countries are discussed. In this study, traffic safety indicators such as the ratio of fatalities to road length, the ratio of injuries to road length, and the ratio of injuries to fatalities are examined. By examining these indicators in Iran and advanced and wealthy Asian countries, it is suggested that by improving vehicle safety, increasing road length, enforcing stricter laws, etc., steps can be taken to improve traffic safety indicators.

Traffic, as the most prominent and objective principle of urban management, is in constant interconnection and interaction with a complex set of social, cultural and economic relationships. Urban systems in less developed countries suffer from severe asymmetry in urban management, and this heterogeneity and imbalance in urban management make areas that are less productive and qualitatively less developed. No. One of the areas considered in most research as an example of the risky situation in urban social systems is informal settlements, which are usually established in the suburbs and grow slightly. And can severely affect people's survival in these areas. Since the decline in livelihoods, the population living in informal settlements cannot be resolved in the urban system and, on the other hand, cannot be returned to the countryside in most cases, this situation can pose a major threat to the overall social structure. To create. This is a descriptive-analytical study that relies on two methods of library and field research. In this study, the effect of independent variable namely traffics management and transportation on dependent variable namely population viability in informal settlements of Birjand was investigated by gathering information through questionnaire and Pearson correlation test. The results show that traffic management and urban transport can affect up to 65% of the population sustainability, of which 27% through traffic culture such as education and the role of the media, 24% through improved patterns. Traffic such as changes in certification practices and 14% are caused by the proper implementation of the rules.
