We identify the risks in the arark-khoramabad freeway project using the PMBOK. More ever, there 16 risks were clustered into 4 components; 1) Technical, functional and qualitative risk 2) Organizational risk 3) Management risk 4) External risk. Applying expert opinions and the Best-Worst Method (BWM) that is a multi-criteria decision-making method, the relative importance (weights) of these criteria were calculated. The result show that management risk is most important criterion. The lack of financial sources and government supports are the main sub criterion and risks. Finally, with detected risk ranked, reaction programs to important risk were provided and enables the project manager and authorities to keep face of risks.
