Login to the Journal System
Use your personal username and password to access the Civil & Project Journal (CPJ) system. The same authorized account may support your activities as an author, corresponding author, reviewer, reader, or another journal user.
Manuscript submission, revision, responses to reviewers, proof approval, payment evidence, reviewer reports, and article tracking must remain within the relevant authenticated account so that the journal preserves a clear, confidential, and traceable scholarly record.
Correct Use of the Login Form
Use the exact username created during registration. Check capitalization, numbers, punctuation, keyboard language, and accidental spaces. Do not repeatedly guess multiple usernames or create a second account while an existing profile may still be recoverable.
Type the password on a trusted device and avoid displaying it to another person. Do not place the password in a manuscript, email, screenshot, contact form, comments field, reviewer report, or support message.
After entering the credentials, use the native Login control and allow the system to process the request. Repeated rapid attempts, browser autofill errors, expired sessions, or multiple simultaneous tabs may create confusion or trigger temporary access restrictions.
Check the displayed name, registered email, role, affiliation, and manuscript or review records. If another person’s information appears, log out immediately and report the issue without opening, downloading, or changing confidential material.
The corresponding author should use the same account for submission, tracking, revision, reviewer responses, payment evidence, and galley-proof approval. Do not move an active manuscript informally between duplicate or shared accounts.
Save necessary work, close confidential article files, and log out when using a shared, institutional, public, or borrowed device. Do not rely only on closing the browser window to protect an active session.
What You Can Do after Login
Start a new submission, complete metadata, upload files, track status, receive decisions, submit revisions, answer reviewers, upload payment evidence after acceptance, review the galley proof, and maintain an auditable manuscript record.
View only formally assigned manuscripts, accept or decline invitations, declare conflicts of interest, download confidential files, submit reports, and preserve the confidentiality of the peer-review process.
Maintain profile information and use available journal services. Registration or login does not automatically create a manuscript, confer reviewer status, provide editorial authority, or guarantee access to confidential records.
Forgotten Username, Password, or Inaccessible Email
Select the native password-recovery link on the login page and follow the current system instructions. Enter the account information exactly as registered and check the active email associated with the profile.
Review the inbox, spam, junk, promotions, quarantine, and institutional filtering folders. Allow normal delivery time and avoid making repeated recovery requests before checking whether an earlier message has arrived.
If the registered email is inaccessible or the account cannot be identified, contact CPJ with the full name, registered email if known, username if known, affiliation, mobile number, manuscript ID where applicable, and a screenshot of the error. Do not include the old or proposed password.
Security, Confidentiality, and Responsible Account Use
CPJ does not need your password to provide support and will not request it by email, telephone, SMS, social media, contact form, remote-access software, or a reviewer message. Never disclose a one-time code, recovery link, or browser session.
Confirm that the login page belongs to www.cpjournals.com. Avoid entering credentials through an unsolicited link, copied advertisement, unknown shortened URL, unofficial mirror, or page claiming to provide guaranteed acceptance or reviewer access.
Authors and reviewers must not forward restricted files, expose review reports, publish screenshots of the account, upload confidential manuscripts to public AI tools, or allow an unauthorized person to use the account.
Unexpected password messages, altered profile data, unknown submissions, unfamiliar reviewer assignments, changed contact details, or access from another person should be reported immediately through the official contact route.
Common Login Problems and Practical Checks
Re-enter the username and password manually, confirm Caps Lock and keyboard language, remove accidental spaces, and test the password-recovery route. Do not send credentials to the journal for testing.
Refresh the official page, close duplicate tabs, clear outdated site data where appropriate, or try a current mainstream browser. Preserve a screenshot and the approximate time if the problem continues.
Confirm that the correct personal account and role are active. Search the manuscript history and identify whether another duplicate profile was used. Contact support with the manuscript ID rather than submitting the article again.
Verify that the invitation was sent to the same registered profile and has not expired or been withdrawn. Do not ask another person to access the assignment or create a second reviewer account.
Update the profile through the authenticated account when possible. If access is lost, request documented assistance and provide enough information for identity and account verification without disclosing secret credentials.
Stop using the affected session, secure the registered email, use the available recovery route, and notify the journal immediately. Identify suspicious changes or records and the last known legitimate access.
