Stone columns reinforced with polymeric layers are an effective method to improve bearing capacity and reduce settlement of saturated soils in irrigation and drainage structures. This study aims to investigate the three-dimensional mechanical behavior of stone columns with radial encasement and layered polymeric reinforcement under local loading and stress distribution in saturated soils. Finite element modeling was employed to evaluate the influence of column modulus, polymeric encasement strength, and soil density. The results indicate that radial encasement combined with layered polymeric reinforcement increases the bearing capacity and reduces settlement of the columns. Moreover, the radial–layered arrangement of polymeric encasement plays a significant role in uniform stress distribution around the columns. These findings provide practical guidance for the optimal design of reinforced stone columns in irrigation and drainage projects and have notable implications for improving the performance of earth structures.
