Steel shear walls are systems resistant to lateral loads, especially against wind and earthquake forces, which have been widely used in recent decades, especially in high-rise buildings. These walls, which are used in buildings in three types, hardened, unhardened, and corrugated, have attracted the attention of engineers and designers as a suitable member to deal with lateral loads due to their various advantages, especially load-bearing capacity, energy dissipation, hardness, and plasticity. Multiple tests conducted in this area show that the presence of bending stresses in the steel sheet changes the behavior of the walls in tall buildings. On the other hand, the presence of buckling in steel plates and in-plane deformations has caused the attention of experts from corrugated steel sheets which, due to the presence of multiple bends, play a binding role in the places where in-plane forces are converted to out-of-plane forces. On the other hand, researchers have focused on the use of AFRP reinforcing sheets in order to improve the performance of these corrugated plates. In this research, the corrugated steel shear wall used in an opening was subjected to impact once simply and reinforced with polymer sheets, and the results were extracted using Abaqus finite element software. After the investigations, the results showed that the corrugated steel sheets reinforced with AFRP polymer plates under the shock load of the explosion showed acceptable results in some parameters, including these results can reduce the final deformation by 7% or reduce 66% in plastic strain values
