چکیده English

Concrete is composed of water, cement, aggregates, and appropriate additives, exhibiting a non-homogeneous and intricate structure. This material stands as a prevalent substance in the construction industry owing to its abundance, durability, and suitable flexibility. Concrete strength serves as one of the paramount metrics for assessing its overall quality. During the early stages and throughout the construction period, having control and a precise understanding of the strength development process is essential and crucial for safe performance that ensures time efficiency and economic optimization in the utilization of this highly consumed building material. The emergence of piezoelectric transducers, due to their properties, has aided in revolutionizing various fields such as structural health monitoring and investigating the setting process of cement materials based on non-destructive tests (NDT). The Electromechanical Impedance (EMI) method is an efficient technique based on smart sensors that examine the structural characteristics in the early ages using piezoelectric transducers (PZT) as emerging materials and solves challenges in investigating the setting process of mortar and the hydration reaction of concrete when existing conventional techniques are used. It. This article reviews the research process in this field along with the analysis of their data, and by presenting this technology, provides an inspiring context for getting to know the audience as much as possible.
